Like and Love

{I can't figure out how to cut this, so just watch 5:05 -5:11}

It was hard saying goodbye to my beautiful family. I love them times a million, and am already looking forward to the visits back and forth. We were a little spoiled the last couple years, with all 6 of us basically living in Austin, someone had to break the mold :) I not only love them so much, but I like them. I laugh more with my family than anyone else. With Papa Joe's creative mind and GranAnne's alive spirit, the fun never ends.

Only 4 of us, we are special.

At the Petrik's home.

Monday

On the road again

Managed to fit everything I own in my Pontiac Grand Am, so Chelsea had the privilege of riding with me. No leg room, no lap room.

We switched drivers at DFW, GranAnne and Chels boarded the plane, and and Papa Joe and I headed off on our 16 hour road trip.

He imparted his wisdom, we listened to Summit lectures, we stopped to have a 72oz steak for lunch at the Big Texan(duh), and we stopped to play at Garden of the Gods.

Lunch at Delizios

Chatting over Coffee at Chocolates with Howard Baker, a professor in theChristian Formation and Soul Care department.
So thankful to the Rogers and the Rameys for connecting us - Young Life makes the world so small!

Thursday

Two things I will miss about Austin:

My Mama, and Farmer's Markets.

Tuesday

Au Revior, Baby Seal, Don't Talk to Sharks.

My precious girls got me a beautiful necklace and earings! Love them so much and already feel like I am leaving a chunk of my heart behind in Austin.

We had a simple come-and-go goodbye on the Whole Foods roof, so happy so many people were able to come out! I am truely blessed by such great fellowship in Austin!

I had a tough time explaining the seal joke, not because my words failed me, but because I heard myself saying something like this...
"Well, you know, we all have our baby animal aliases"
"Huh?"

Baby deer, bear, giraffe, koala, fox, otter, puma, polar bear, owl. You will be missed.

Cousins.

Going to miss her big time. Like BIG time, my heart already aches.

Hey Soul Sista

Harris gang! This family has such a sweet place in my heart!

Tyler representing.

Debra, my sister, and I have branched out from Tyler's Philosophy Club and created our own in Austin! Her counsil and friendship has been such a blessing, especially in the context of the recent decision to go to Seminary!

Cousins!

I love so much that my roomates know all my family from the past couple Thanksgivings, and that though I am moving, they will still be included in our family tradition!

Love the candids.

It is so nice to have Aunt and Uncles so close, that have been to generous and hospitable over the years!

Twin, Kram, cutest baby ever, Taylor aka kindred spirit.

Favorites.

Smiles.

Rikki!

Monday

Sunday Funday

I was house sitting at a home with a fantastic backyard, so I convinced Clinton to bring my favorite nephew over to play with me! He really was smiling in the photo, but then stepped on a rock.

Clinton? Is that you?

This is the smile from a nephew to his favorite Aunt.
Yes, that's also a smile with a piece of candy in his mouth. From his favorite Aunt.

Annie's Day

Happy Mother's Day
(of course sung to the tune of David's song)

Tuesday

Macie Claire

Havn't seen this girl in way too long, and depending on my potential Denver plans, do not know the next time I will see her, but she assured me with both hand squeezing my cheeks together,
"I love you Chelsea, I mean Molly"

Was so fun seeing GranAnne and Papa Joe in action, and to experience Macie's wit and humor first hand.

Wednesday

Easter

Easter egg hunting is the BEST

So Proud

Doin it right

Finished Product

Easter so significant to what our Faith is all about. Jesus came to die for us, and to be raised to never die again. He conquered sin and death, and this is our Hope. Greater Love hath none than this, that he lay down his life (John 15:13). Christ has done what only He could do. Because of His Holiness, it had to be done, and because of His perfectness, only he could do it. Christ is risen! And we look to the author and perfector of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2) as we do this thing called life, that we might be the aroma of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:15).

Paul tells us to follow his example as he follows Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:1)

Oh that we might live a life that others can follow our example as we follow Christ, and praise God for those divine relationship to whom we follow as an example.

Christmas in New Mexico

Tuesday

All I want for Christmas, is YOUUU!

"We're in Austin" was his excuse to take this picture. He buttoned his top button, tilted his glasses, and my headband was fasioned appropriately.

Add one hipster mustache, a confused older brother...

...Some Pearls and a Christmas Sweater

and you have a Moody family. Sprinkle a tidied oneski to which my father says "look how long your legs are not," and you have a weekend family getaway.

I have the best roomates in the world, because just when I though my weekend couldn't get any better, I came home to this.

Yea, they're pretty fantastic. If you want a piece of this, just come over this Friday.

Continuing in the Holiday Spirit of togetherness, we got dressed up and headed to my company Christmas Party (aka my personal party because I got all the guys who didn't have dates to invite all my friends, sorry I'm not sorry)

We ate some Rudy's and Juleen's cakeballs, and sat out on the Patio by Peche and listened/danced to some Memphis Train Revue .

MAK house representing, I love these ladies. And they're pretty cute and kinda single.

And then this happened.

The End.

Monday

It's Thanksgiving time, It's Turkey time

Thanksgiving will always remind Chelsea and I of one thing, the

Ok it doesn't exactly remind us of only one thing, but also four wheeling, skeet shooting, lots of good food, and our incredible family! So thankful that this year, Katie and Becker were adopted into the Verheydens aka Berhagens.

David's a crazy person on a four wheeler.

I will never do this again.

After getting started on appetizers and unpacking, we all headed down to field...

and what better way than to pull everyone in fold-up chairs in a trailer pulled behind a pickup. #TexasThanksgiving

I went first, maybe just so I didn't have to follow anyone else up. I did not hit a thing...

Katie's cute, and she represented for the MAK house.

Love this shot.

Katie, Chels and Becker

She's ready to go.

She make shooting look good.

So does Becker. She also represented for the MAK house. Basically everyone hit at least something except for me.

I'm thankful for: the MAK house

She's pretty great, too.
